Why have a Web site?

Do I need a web site? This is a question that more people are going to be asking themselves during the coming year. In the February 1999 issue of PC NOVICE a chart on page 6 indicates that small business use of web sites has doubled in the last two years. Still, only 20.1% of PC-owning small businesses are expected to have a Web Page by the year 2001.  No doubt part of the reason for this is that the cost of designing and maintaining a Web Page has been out of reach for most small businesses and individuals.  Professional design firms charge from $60 to $100 per hour for their services along with additional charges from $25 to $50 per month for hosting services.  While these firms are expert at advanced design and writing custom programs, their services are more than most small businesses and individuals need.

I can help individuals and small businesses that recognize the potential of the internet but don't know how to go about creating a page.  I can help by designing a web site and and helping you to locate free or low cost hosting options that will enable you to get your site up and running in short order at a fraction of what a large design firm would charge.  Go back to my start page and view examples of my work to see the type to see the type of design that I do.  I'm doing this on a part time limited basis and this is reflected in the prices and type of service that we provide.

My design skills are best suited to race teams that desire a web presence for fans and sponsors, small businesses that  want to showcase their company, individuals who want to promote a hobby or interest, street rodders, home business owners, clubs and organizations with a limited advertising budget.
